The Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club hosted its Annual Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner on Feb. 28 at The Community House on Sanibel. One of the club’s major fundraisers, it featured an all-you-can-eat Italian feast of salad, pasta and meatballs — using the club’s special recipe sauce — garlic sticks, soda and wine. Bubble Room cakes were also available for an additional small fee. Following dinner, attendees enjoyed music and dancing with deejay Kevin Schell. There were also live and silent auctions, with Kiwanian Tom Uhler and Sanibel artist Rachel Pierce serving as the live auctioneers. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win dozens of other items. The proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Scholarship Awards Program and more. The club thanked everyone who attended, volunteered and donated, along with all its members who made the event possible.
