Salmon is one of the healthiest foods, and part of the heart-healthy Mediterranean Diet. Salmon has been found to not only aid in heart, brain and bone health, but is also high in protein. Check out more health benefits of salmon and read why protein is an essential part of a healthy diet.
The ingredient list for this
salmon spread is short and simple. Here is your shopping list to make this incredible smoked salmon dip recipe: canned salmon, cream cheese and liquid smoke. Liquid smoke is the secret ingredient to take this seafood spread over the top.

Slather crackers, bagels, toast points or crusty bread with this spread, or use it as a dip for pita chips. I enjoy it on a bagel with my
chive and garlic scrambled eggs. How will you use it?

Here’s how to make it:
Mix all ingredients together. Cover and chill 1 hour. (For added nutrition, crush up the soft salmon bones which are loaded with calcium.) Taste the salmon spread. If you want more smoke flavor add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon more, 1/4 teaspoon at a time, tasting after each addition. For some color and extra flavor, garnish with fresh minced chives or green onions. This recipe could easily be cut in half. Store the salmon spread in an airtight container in the fridge.
