We are thrilled to announce that Vespa Italian Kitchen & Cocktails has been named Best New Restaurant This Year on Long Island in the 2025 Daily Voice Readers’ Choice Awards!
Vespa’s dinner menu, available online offers a wide-ranging look at Italian cooking, with starters that include baked clams oreganata, calamari fritti, arancini Siciliani, caponata, burrata, and seafood salad, alongside various soups and salads.
Pasta dishes span classics and specialty preparations, including bucatini with sardines, fennel, raisins, and pine nuts; pappardelle with braised beef or pork ragù; and gnocchi with pesto or beef ragù—to name but a few.
Entrées include chicken, veal, pork, beef, and seafood selections. Also available: Stone-fired pizzas made with unbleached, non-bromated flours, as highlighted online.
The 2025 Daily Voice Readers’ Choice contest to name the Best of the Best on Long Island began with reader nominations in September and ended with a voting period for finalists in 45+ categories in November. — Daily Voice
