Chicken Cacciatore. A classic Italian dish that I love making. The “caccia” in cacciatore means “hunt,” so I guess this is chicken hunter’s style. It’s been an Italian-American favorite for years and a dish with roots going back to the Renaissance. This dish is good made with a whole chicken, but I prefer it made with drum sticks and thighs only. It’s great with polenta or some pasta, but I love it with a chunk of crusty semolina bread. Join me in my kitchen as I make it here. #LidiasRecipes #LidiasItaly #LidiasKitchen #LidiaBastianich #ItalianFood @AccademiadeiCento

  1. What type of oregano do you use? I grow my own and it is always a low growing variety, never tall like what you use.

  2. Thank you for demonstrating how to cut a chicken. 🙏🏼❤ That cacciatore looks 🤌🏼!
