We had an old metal shipping pallet we used as the base! Built up the sides out of wood and lined the sides with plastic to hopefully extend its life a bit. Stained the outside and built a PVC/chicken wire cage to keep birds and beasts out – hence the strawberry jail lol. Filled the bottom with a cut up dead shrub and 14 cubic feet of soil, watering every layer! My plants have been quiet since getting transplanted in – hopefully they're wiggling their toes and rooting out for a burst of growth soon!

Omg genius!!! Mine are defenseless, I’m hoping the birds will leave one or two for us 🤣

Looks awesome, but if it’s standard schedule 40, then it will degrade over time in the sun. It lasted a few years in my Texas sun. I saw you painted it so probably will help.

I switched to conduit because it’s the same price and designed for use in the elements.

Thanks mods for deleting my comment for the lack of flair. Doing the lawds work.
