Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there in San Antonio! Today, families across the country will be celebrating the mothers in their lives, and one restaurant chain is looking to make things sweeter with a Mother’s Day giveaway.
This Sunday, May 10, Wienerschnitzel, the purported largest hot dog chain in the world, will offer free chili dog meals to moms throughout the day, according to a news release from the company. The free chili dog will come with a small order of fries and a small soda.
“Excited to share that the world’s largest hot dog chain, Wienerschnitzel, is offering a different kind of deal for moms who prefer their weenies with some chili on top!” the news release from Wienerschnitzel said. “A fun, low-stress way for families to celebrate without the long brunch wait times.”

While Wienerschnitzel is offering free meals for moms, other restaurants and chains are offering discounts, deals and specials for Mother’s Day. For example, Crumbl Cookies has a Mother’s Day bundle with special packaging starting at $15.99 and includes pink sugar cookies, pink velvet heart cakes and chocolate-covered strawberry cookies.
Looking more locally, Bakery Lorraine has brought back its heart-shaped pop-tarts, available at all locations now through Monday, May 11, along with several other festive treats. Similarly, La Panadería has dropped several Mother’s Day items, such as cherry mousse hearts and red mini conchas.
