The Dallas family behind Italian restaurant Campisi’s plans to open a delivery and pickup restaurant at Preston Road and Royal Lane on Aug. 1, 2026, confirmed owner and chief pizza operator David Campisi.
The family wants to open more to-go kitchens that serve the full Campisi’s menu, but without a dining room, Campisi said. The goal is customers can order and pick up Italian food in 15 minutes.
“We put a lot of resources in our kitchen so our pick up times are quicker,” Campisi said.
A small market with take-and-bake pizzas and half lasagnas will be available to anyone, no call-ahead necessary.
For delivery, Campisi gives a tip: Place the order on the Campisi’s website, where food is less expensive than on third-party delivery apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats.
Campisi confirmed the new pizza shop does not replace the company’s desire to reopen near the Bluffview and Devonshire neighborhoods of Dallas, where a fire damaged their restaurant in late 2025. Campisi’s remains closed at West Lovers Lane and Inwood Road, for now.
Campisi’s to-go shop is expected to open at 5944 Royal Lane, Dallas, on Aug. 1, 2026.
