BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – This segment on The Three was paid for and sponsored by Plexus Worldwide.
The Plexus Summer Wellness Tour is traveling across the United States, with two “wellness wagons” visiting more than 100 cities and towns before concluding in Texas.
About the tour
The tour launched following a company convention in Columbus, Ohio. One wagon headed west and one headed east, with stops planned at community events along the route.
Stuart MacMillan, Chief Global Development Officer for Plexus, said the tour is designed to bring people together around the company’s core focus on gut health.
“The company is really about gut health and wellness, but it’s also about community,” MacMillan said. “What we’re trying to do is to have these little events with the wellness wagon, give people an opportunity to hang out together, enjoy each other’s company, understand how important gut health is to them.”
About Plexus
Plexus is an 18-year-old company focused on the gut health space. MacMillan said he joined the company three to four months ago after learning about its science and growth plans.
“In the last couple of years, 60% of the companies that introduce new products point to gut health,” MacMillan said. “We’re already in the space and we just really need to put the pedal to the metal and make sure that our message gets out.”
MacMillan said the company’s primary focus over the next 18 months will remain on the gut-brain axis.
“Physicians have said for years that if you have a healthy gut, that’s the center to being healthy overall,” MacMillan said.
The local stop is scheduled for Tanglewood Park tonight from 6 to 8 p.m., where attendees can sample products.
