To honor the first responders in the Will County area, Mistie Hill Vineyard is hosting a BBQ for the Red, White and Blue this Sunday.
From noon to 6 p.m., the special event will take place at the Tasting Room of the Will County winemaker.
Fire, police and emergency personnel from Braidwood, Wilmington, Coal City and the Will County Sheriff’s departments will be on hand, as well as some of their vehicles on display.
First responders with a badge or ID will receive two free food and drink tickets.
Portions of the proceeds will be given to the 100 Club of Will County, a charitable organization that supports families of first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
“The 100 Club does great work in helping families of first responders who have fallen in the line of duty,” said Mistie Hill owner Rich Strylowski. “We want to invite everyone to join us for food and wine to support our first responders.”
Nestled just inside the Will County Line near the Kankakee River, Mistie Hill Vineyard is located at 36921 Ohlhues Rd. in Custer Park.
