A Velvet’s Big Easy Celebration 

Bringing the flavor of Cajun- and Creole-inspired recipes to Pierce County for years, Parkland’s Velvet’s Big Easy is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its new designation as a Blue Zones-approved restaurant at 5 p.m. on Sept. 10. Stadium District Art & Wine Walk

From 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 19, the Stadium District Art & Wine Walk is inviting guests to sample from 14 Northwest wineries and cideries, see art, and hear local musicians play at 16 local businesses. The event is for those 21 and up; tickets must be purchased in advance. Learn more here.

Hellfire Taco Challenge by Redd Dog Brewing Co.

Looking to spice up your life? Redd Dog Brewing Co. is hosting the Hellfire Taco Challenge at 6 p.m. on Sept. 23. Those who think they handle heat will get an ultimate test at the event, where they’ll be expected to down six reaper chicken tacos in 6 minutes. Winners will get a $25 Redd Dog gift card, a pint glass, and a photo on the “Wall of Flame.” More information can be found here.
