**INGREDIENTS**

1. Fish pieces – 1 kg
2. Onion – 2
3. Green Chilli – 4
4. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tablespoons
5. Red Mirchi powder – 2 tablespoons
6. Oil – 4 tablespoons
7. Turmeric – 1/2 tablespoon
8. Tamarind juice – 1 small bowl
9. Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
10. Masala powder – 1/2 tablespoon
11. Salt – 11/2 tablespoon
12. Fried fenugreek seed powder – 1/2 tablespoon
13. Coriander leaves a small bunch

**INSTRUCTIONS**

1. Clean fish pieces with salt and lemon juice.
2. In a pan heat one tablespoon of oil and add onion and green chilli. Fry till they’re a little brown then remove from pan and keep aside to cool. Once they cool, pulse in a blender and make a smooth paste.
3. Heat the rest of the oil in the pan, add some mustard seeds and. When they splutter, add ginger garlic paste and saute. Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it fry for a min then add tamarind juice and cook to boil.
4. Add onion chilli paste and mix it well. Add the fish pieces and stir. Add water to make a gravy.
5. Let it cook on a low flame until the fish softens. Now add some masala powder and fenugreek seeds powder. Let it cook for two more minutes.
6. Before you switch off the flame add some coriander leaves.
