Portuguese wine is just fantastic. I’ve had some easy Vinho Verde as well as some really big Dao reds but Port is my first love.
Light caramel color whose scent of honey fills the room at open. While, this tastes to me like classic aged tawny, I’m actually surprised by how young it tastes. Sure there’s not much fruit but it’s also still a degree or so behind the nutty characteristics I love.
Still, this is absolutely wonderful and it’s amazing that it’s so easy to get in a half bottle. This one was our hased at airport but still reasonably priced.
