I grew up in a family that didn’t drink much wine. I went to University in Canada where my first wine drinking experiences were born out of figuring out the most % alcohol for the least amount of money. My dad went on vacation in Arizona and joined a wine club around the same tome. When I got back from Canada those Arizona wines were the first non-shitty wines I ever drank. I decided I wanted to use my Chemistry degree to give winemaking a shot. 12 years later this was the last bottle that remained from one of my Dad & I’s trip to AZ wine country. He passed last night and I couldn’t think of a better day to drink this wine.
