Ok let’s start with the good stuff. The scrambled egg looks really nice and with the beans in a bowl so no chance of polluting the egg. The mushrooms are fresh and well fried, the sausages equally so. Tomato looks nicely grilled and the homemade bread is a great touch. Overall looks goo……….wait what is that bacon? Is that….American “bacon”. Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

I’m all for regional variations. I didn’t mention the lack of black pudding, or fried bread for this reason. But American “bacon”, that’s. No doubt had all the moisture taken out so it’s crunchy. No. Next thing you know you’ll be pouring syrup over it or some such nonsense.

Looks very good but its kind of an “inspired by dish”. The eggs look great but not really how you get them in a full English. Missing black pudding, and the bacon is American style too. Also need bubble and squeak, or at least the more controversial hash brown.
I’d inhale it without a second thought, though

Needs proper back bacon, black pudding, fried eggs as well as scrambled, one fried bread, two toast and that’s just entry level for a deserved “English Breakfast” title. If you want to get into the big leagues you need square sausage, tatey scones, white pudding, large fried mushrooms and tiny jams for your toast!! Chips I’m a firm no but that’s a controversial matter for another time.
