  1. Ingredients: 1lb chuck roast, pasta, 4 potatoes (cut up), 4 carrots, 1 onion, 6 cloves garlic, 2tbsp half and half or cream, 1.5tbsp cornstarch, 1/4 cup water, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oil, 2 cups beef broth

    1. Pat steak completely dry. Mix garlic powder salt and pepper together and rub it on steak throughly.
    2. Put oil in a pan on high heat until pan is smoking. Sear the steak on both sides until browned and crusty. Set aside
    3. Put pressure cooker on sauté with oil, and sauté the carrots, onion, garlic (cut carrots and onions up first) until browned at the edges
    4. Take out the veggies and set aside
    5. Turn off sauté mode. Pour in beef broth. Add the steak, then the sautéed veggies, then the potatoes
    6. Pressure cook for 20 minutes (for 1lb beef)
    7. Cook pasta separately
    8. Let pressure cooker naturally release for 10 minutes then vent and open the pot.
    9. Take out the beef and shred
    10. Take out the potatoes and mash
    11. Take out the other veggies and set aside
    12. Turn sauté mode on and boil the broth for a few minutes so it reduces a good amount. Then whisk the cornstarch in water and add the liquid into the broth. Add 2tbsp half and half. Stir until liquid turns to gravy
    13. Serve!
