Apple Mixture

**INSTRUCTIONS**
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Butter an 8″x8″ baking pan or similar sized casserole dish. Set aside. 2. Peel, core, and slice 6 washed apples. (Note: peeling your apples is an optional step depending on your texture preference!) 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine your apples, sugars (maple syrup and brown sugar), lemon juice, flour, and cinnamon. Stir to incorporate. 4. Transfer chopped fruit mixture to the prepared baking pan. Set aside. 5. In a separate medium sized mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, maple sugar, and salt. 6. Add cubed butter and combine with the mixture using either a pastry cutter or your hands. 7. Once a mixture that resembles clay clumps. Add roughly chopped pecans and mix together one final time. Evenly distribute crumble over the fruits. 8. Bake at 350F for ~50 minutes or until fruit is bubbling and the crumble is golden brown. Let cool for 5 min, serve and enjoy! 9. Optional: Finish with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup!
