Slow cooker pot roast with onions

This can be super cheap to make. My grocery store had eye of round on sale for $3.99/lb. I got a huge roast that I cut in 2, one for this and one roast for later in the freezer.

With the mashed potatoes, carrots and gravy, this works out to about $3.25 per full meal. And your house gets to smell delicious all day!

    Recipe

    Beef roast of your choice

    Onion soup mix

    Worcestershire sauce

    Garlic powder

    Salt

    Pepper

    Beef broth

    Cubed onions

Turn your crock pot onto high. Add your roast and the cut up onions. Empty the soup mix.on top of the roast. Add your spices. Pour the beef broth over the roast until there’s about 3/4 of an inch of liquid in the bottom of the pot. Measurement of the spices is left up to your taste.

Shut the lid and cook on high for 6 to 7 hours.

You can use the pot liquid to make your gravy, but thin it out with some regular water to prevent it from being too salty.

Very beefy, cheap and very tasty.
