    Detailed Recipe: https://easteuropeaneats.com/easy-mushrooms-recipe/

    **Ingredients**

    • 350gr/ 12oz / 2¾ cups button mushrooms (whole)

    • 300gr/ 10.5 oz / 2½ cups Portobello mushrooms

    • 400g / 15 oz can of chickpeas (without the liquid around 240gr)

    • 50 gr / 1.7 oz / ¼ cups of butter

    • 100 gr / ½ cup cooking cream

    • 3-4 garlic cloves

    • 1-2 tbsp cornstarch

    • rosemary leaves

    • 1 tbsp basil

    • salt & pepper

    **Directions**

    1. Start by cutting the mushrooms (I peel mushrooms, but this is optional step)

    2. In a pot, put the butter. Add sliced mushrooms

    3. Next, add minced garlic, rosemary leaves and spices – salt, pepper, basil

    4. Cook over medium high heat, preferably with a lid, so the liquid from the mushrooms doesn’t evaporate

    5. Cook the mushrooms for 5-10 mins or until they are soft, shrunk and changed color

    6. Next, add 1-2 tbsp of cornstarch and mix it very well. We want to thicken the sauce

    7. After add the cleaned and dried chickpeas (optionally remove their skin before – check instructions above for more details on removing chickpeas skin)

    8. Add the cream after that and let it simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes

    9. After that the creamy mushrooms and chickpeas is ready

    10. Serve it warm with your favorite side dish and some cheese on top

Is there anything to replace garlic with? Bcs my mom is religiously vegetarian and she can’t have garlic or onions so I was wondering if there was something that could exchange for garlic.
