1 lbs ground beef (I used shaved beef as that’s all I had)
1 jar marinara (about 3 cups)
About 3 cups beef broth
About half a cup of heavy cream
1 small or medium onion, diced
About 4 cloves of minced garlic
Add any seasonings you want, but I did salt, pepper, red pepper flake, dried basil, dried oregano, and Cajun seasoning.
Mozzarella cheese to top
Instructions:
1. Brown beef with the onion over medium heat.
2. Once beef is browned, drain any extra fat off, add in all seasonings and garlic. Allow to cool about 30 seconds or so.
3. Add in marinara, beef broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil.
4. Add in your pasta, cook, covered, to box instructions.
5. Remove from heat, top with mozzarella, and allow cheese to melt, covered. About 5 minutes.
6. (Optional) If you would like your cheese browned, uncover after pasta is done, top with cheese, and place in an oven on low broil setting for a couple of minutes.
