Here is a follow up video to my Beef and Potato Stew that I posted the other day! Thought I’d film today’s cooking sesh to help those who asked how to do it! 😊

    Recipe for this stew:

Chop up 1 Onion, 3 Carrots, 2-3 Celery sticks, 6 baby potatoes (I did my potatoes later in this video).

    Crush 1 clove of garlic.

Fry off all the veggies in a pan with some oil and boil the kettle.

After veggies have fried, add a couple of Bay Leaves, crush 1 OXO cube and add 1 beef stock to them.

Next, add a generous amount of tomato puree (2-3 tablespoons) and add some boiling water to the pan.

Stir up all the veggies and add a little bit of Worcester Sauce to the mix, before sprinkling on a fair amount of Thyme.

Let it fry for a minute or so and then put the veggie mix and the gravy into your slow cooker and turn it on the low heat setting.

At this stage, you technically can just put the beef straight in, but I always brown it off in the pan with all the veggie juices and that first.

Fry off your beef in the pan, until they are all evenly browned and no pink is left visible.

Chuck the beef into your slow cooker and give it all a good stir.

Put it on high setting if you want it sooner and you can also add some Corn Flour to it if the gravy is too watery for your liking.

In this video I had also chucked in some frozen peas at the end, just because. You can do this if you want more, just chuck them in and let them cook.

    Stir every hour and enjoy!

    😊
