I can’t go grocery shopping until February so I’ve been using what is in my pantry to make batch meals for the last two weeks. This is a favorite of ours.
Recipe:
1 can of chicken breast in water. – $1 at Walmart
1 can of chili beans – $0.95 at Aldi’s
1 can of kidney beans, rinsed – $0.95 at Aldi’s
1 can of black beans, rinsed – $0.95 at Aldi’s
1 15 oz can of diced tomatoes – $0.95 at Aldi’s
1/2 jar of green olives – Bought a 6-pack a year ago and I don’t remember the price, I’m sorry!
1 can of water
2 tablespoons of minced garlic – $4.98 for a 32 oz jar at Walmart
Dehydrated minced onion to taste – Jackie’s Kitchen on Amazon, was $1.29 for a 2 oz container
Montreal Chicken seasoning to taste – McCormick brand on Amazon, was $12 for a 2 lb container we bought last year but now $19 🙄
Chili powder, celery salt, cumin, and black pepper to taste
Dump it all into a pot and let it simmer on low all day, stirring throughout the day
It’s surprisingly delicious, cheap, and we will be eating off it for days!
