Cork Discoloration and Crumbling

I am an occasional wine drinker and ordered this bottle online. When it arrived the cork had a bit of black on the inside and seems to have crumbled a bit. The wine is very cloudy with wisps and did not settle after a day in the fridge. I have not opened the bottle to smell it yet. I am wondering if this is common/safe to drink?
