Hello I’m looking to make bulgogi but im not sure what is the best affordable cut of meat to use? I’m from the UK and i know alot of stores sell the slices of sirloin meat would that work? (Picture for reference) or should it specifically be thinly sliced?

I prefer cuts with a bit more fat and marbling if you’re going for pre-sliced but if you slice it at home you have a bit more flexibility with the cut since you can go thinner than those stir-fry strips. Are you committed to buying pre-sliced or are you okay with buying a larger piece of meat and slicing it at home?
Use shaved beef
You can buy a slightly thicker cut of meat, freeze it, and then slice it thinly with a sharp knife at home if you’re comfortable.
If you’re not, then I find any cut of meat works honestly. My dad and I would sometimes marinate a regular steak in the bulgogi marinade and then slice it up after grilling.
Hmart have lovely frozen shaved meat rolls
