This was the best tasting and most unique sushi I’ve had while traveling around Japan.
Small place, maybe 5 tables and the bar seating. Had my Japanese friend ask the chef to make me whatever was fresh, I will eat anything.
The red snapper skin was smooth and soft, but still had the texture to it. Monkfish liver was a unique taste. The last one got translated to something like Tuna eye muscle, but I don’t think that’s correct.
After paying I said in Japanese, with a little help, Thank you, that was the best sushi I’ve had in Japan. First him and assuming his wife both generously bow to me, then everyone in the resturn turns to me and bows. Was an amazing experience.
