Was really excited to fix this for the family for the first time and everyone said it turned out great. Didn’t realize that Kimchi explodes when you open it, but that was a small bump in the road.

Kimchi explodes when fermentation gases build within the container (like kombucha). I remember having to take containers out to the back to release after long, hot car rides home from the store as the kimchi started fermenting again. It shouldn’t explode if stored in the fridge.
