    **Ingredients**

    * 1 pound steak such as sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon
    * Salt and pepper to taste
    * 2 tablespoons avocado or olive oil
    * 2 cloves of garlic minced
    * 1 avocado mashed
    * 1 lime juiced
    * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

    **Instructions**

    1. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
    2. Heat the avocado or olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak and cook to your desired level of doneness. Cooking times will vary based on the cut of steak and desired level of doneness, but a rough guide is:
    – Ribeye: 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (130-135°F or 54-57°C)
    – Sirloin: 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (130-135°F or 54-57°C)
    – Filet Mignon: 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare (130-135°F or 54-57°C)
    3. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside to rest for 5 minutes.
    4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
    5. In a small bowl, mix together the mashed avocado, lime juice, garlic, and cilantro.
    6. To serve, top the rested steak with the avocado-lime butter and garnish with additional cilantro if desired.
