Didn't get nearly as crazy windy here in San Marcos as it did at your house! Only got hail once during the night. Didn't have any feeders blow down. Had to go out in the rain both yesterday and this morning to do some refilling. The hummers are coming in looking for food since the pollen and nectar in the flowers are all washed away. Will have to go out again tomorrow for more refilling. Poor little things are hungry!!!!

Our weather is weird too, 70 during day then 25 by morning.
We are in the foothills of the motherlode and really don’t deal with snow! But this morning we got a lot of it. My poor hummingbirds were sitting in the tree looking at their feeders that had fallen on the ground. We are forecasted for more snow in the next few days, I keep telling myself we need the water so the mess the storm is creating is ok 😂 I think I’ve lost my lettuce I was growing and had been doing great all winter.

About 40 years ago now, after a huge storm, I found a Glaucus Gull in a lake in Scottsdale Arizona. We fed him tuna and cat food until he was well enough to fly back to the California coast.
Well since I know we hadn't cold hard rain today. And had hail…lots of rain and wind. More tonight and tomorrow. Clouds separated about 9 and saw half moon and stars. And 2 silver globes in sky. Maybe weather balloons. Then it started again we have flooding water on covered patio.
OH GOD PLEASE MOVE RAINY CLOUDS SOMEWHERE ELSE FROM CALIFORNIA BECAUSE WE ALREADY HAD ENOUGH RAINS ANF FURTHER IS NOT GOOD FOR OUR POOR BIRDS 😢
