I have transplanted 1 month old corn seedlings and as long as they have not developed secondary roots, they will take +- 2 weeks but they still have me a harvest.
John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Great list, Jeff!ππ± A helpful tip for small scale gardens is to sow seeds in toilet paper tubes. It works absolutely amazing for peas, beans and corn. The squash family does great too. You then plant the entire tube, so there is zero transplant shock. A good tip for newbies next year, because it takes quite a while to collect enough toilet paper tubes for growing.ππ P.S. I would NEVER try root crops this way (radish, carrot, potato, etc).

It depends on which zone imo but I always start beans early. I like to be harvesting right around when I plan on transplanting my juvenile tomato.
Mother Nature has a different idea than me so Iβll bow to her experience π₯°π¨π¦

So youre not saying dont start early. Youre saying you dont have to plant indoors in trays early. Ok.
