I was wondering if American Koreans ran into this much. I grew up with a granddad that kept limburger cheese in the fridge. I like kimchi but everybody in my family complains that it stinks.

Interesting topic but like most AITA posts it’s a creative writing exercise. I find it more interesting that the post got picked up by news outlets… must be a slow news week😆
How awful! Poor child..
Never from a teacher, but many rude comments from other students and pinching their noses in disgust.
I felt ashamed back then; but would do anything for a homemade packed lunch now!
The most korean thing my mom packed me was during school trips and that was kimbab. i used to share them with everyone. other than that, I always ate school lunch lol. I lived in an area that had a lot of koreans, and never had students bring kimchi to school. But even if they did, who the fuck cares. would a small side dish of kimchi stink up the room to the point where the teacher can’t stand it? or are there deeper reasons for that complaint?
Kimchi and Spam, name a better combo.
Only thing I can think of that’s better than that would be Kimchi and Spam Gimbap.
