    * 3 tbsp (45g) Canola Oil
    * 6 tbsp (100g) Popping Corn
    * 7 tbsp (100g) Butter
    * 1 1/2 cups (470g) Maple Syrup
    * 1 tsp (5g) Salt
    * 1/2 tsp (4g) Baking Soda

    Preparation:

    1. Measure the ingredients accurately

    2. Use the correct tools and equipment

    Step 1: Popping the Corn

    1. Heat the canola oil in a large pan.

    2. Add the popping corn when the oil is hot, and cover the pan with a lid.

    3. Shake the pan occasionally to ensure even cooking.

    4. Remove the pan from heat when the popping has almost stopped.

    5. Transfer the popcorn to a bowl and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Step 2: Maple Caramel

    1. In another pan, melt the butter, maple syrup, and salt together while stirring gently.

    2. When the mixture starts to boil, cook it on medium-low heat for about 10 minutes or until it reaches 280-290°F on a thermometer.

    3. Stir in the baking soda.

    4. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and mix well.

    5. Spread the maple-coated popcorn onto the lined baking sheet.

    Step 3: Baking

    1. Preheat the oven to 230°F.

    2. Bake the popcorn for a total of 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

    3. Remove from the oven and let it cool down.
