I can get over the bitterness. Maybe it is an acquired taste. It is buttery, dry, tobacco….

Let it breathe. Like 3-4 hours and revisit.

    You new here mate?

True dry, tannic wines like Cade is a seriously acquired taste. Cade is a wine that critics and enthusiasts would gush over, because it has notes like “tobacco, leather, earthiness”, is completely dry, and has solid tannins that suck the moisture all out of your mouth.

There’s a reason why fruit forward cabs are so damned popular. You don’t have to acquire the taste to enjoy it!

  3. Sorry to hear you’re not loving it. A good producer using mountain fruit definitely deserves more time to age in my book. Maybe letting it have some time to open up will yield better results

Cade is one of my all time favorites. Wish I could afford to drink it more often. To each his own I guess.

  5. To each their own, but just to point out and echo some others… this is a 2018 bottle, which is normally far too young for a quality produced mountain cab (or any well produced cab for that matter). This vintage probably has at least 3-4 years until it’s prime drinking window even begins.
