I need some advice, please.

A few months ago I was in a Korean market in the city and I spotted a display of Pancake Mix. I happily purchased a pack, brought it home, stuck it in the cupboard & forgot about it.

Today I remembered it and decided to make a variety of savory pancakes, but when I pulled it out and read the instructions, I realized that in my excitement to try something new, I picked up a package of deepfry mix instead of pancake mix.

Can I use it on its own to make savory pancakes? Would I need to add something other than water to the mix to make it work?

Can anyone suggest uses other than deepfrying?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

This is essentially just breaded crumbs, the sorts that usually cover fried shrimp or onion rings. You’re asking if you can make pancakes with bread dust. Not that I know of..

So you’ll need to fry regardless, if you have an airfryer then you can use that but essentially just follow the regular frying tips: coat meat or veggies in egg mix and then coat it in the twigim garu.

  2. This is just panko essentially and it wont bind properly for a pancake. The pancake mix is more like a flour mix that has binders in it and will make a batter when mixed with water.

You can also make jeon batter out of household ingredients though if you dont have the actual mix
