    **Tteokbokki**

    tteok (Korean rice cakes) – 2 cups

    eomok (Korean fish cakes) – 2 or 3 sheets (sliced)

    500ml water plus a bit more while cooking

    cabbage, sliced (optional) – 1 cup

    mozerella cheese (cheese strings x2 in this video)

    green onion – 1 large stick (sliced)

    hard boiled egg – 2

    ​

    **for the seasoning sauce:**

    gochugaru (extra spicy in this video) – 2 tbsp

    gochujang – 1 large tbsp

    sugar – 1 tbsp

    soy sauce – 1 tbsp

    ​

    1. Soak the tteok in warm water to soften while you prepare everything else (like hard boiling some eggs)

    2. Combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl

    3. Put 500ml water into a large pan and add the tteok. Heat until bubbling and turn down to medium

    4. Add the eomok and any other veg you have chosen to use

    5. Cook for a 5 minutes adding water whenever the sauce gets too thick

    6. Add the green onion (and cheese if using)

    7. Stir, and cook for another 2 minutes

    8. Garnish with sesame seeds and a boiled egg

    9. Serve and eat!
