Songkran Festival 2023
Join us for this year’s vibrant celebration of Thai, Lao, Cambodian and Burmese New Year. This year’s festival will be a night market with multiple food vendors featuring cuisines from the aforementioned countries and will feature various music/dance performances as well as, in honor of Songkran tradition, a water balloon fight.
Featured chefs will include Bob Somsith (SXSE Food Co), Thai Changthong (Thai-Kun), Mia Li (Matriarch) and Lenny Dewi (Eats_N_Noods). Other vendors and chefs joining them this year will be Yee Yee (Mom’s Special Cooking), Chayanuch Tinnakul (Kat’s Hand Baked), Natthapat Owens (Seeda), Mr. And Mrs. Li (Matriarch) and Donny Sirisavath (Khao Noodle Shop, Dallas). Resident food trucks Otoshi and TexSueno will also be serving specialty items as well. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate and see each chef at work while learning more about their traditions through food and festivities.
No ticket required, just be prepared to purchase food and drink on site. Water balloons for the water balloon fight will also be available for purchase, proceeds benefiting the World Central Kitchen.
