$26 for a pie of pizza that taste like it’s from NYC. The owner is from New Jersey and makes great NY style pizza.

Everything but the crust looks great. Not a big fan of burned food.

I’d say this is almost New Haven style based on that char on the crust

Any connection to Secret Pizza in Vegas? Sorry if this has been asked before.

$26 seems way expensive for a cheese only pie, especially if it’s supposed to taste like/emulate dollar NY slices.

I wish they had better hours.

How does it stack up against Slice and Pint’s pie?

We had Secret Pizza when they first moved into their El Sereno location. I enjoyed the pie. The dough had nice flavor, which a lot of places lack. Sauce was developed. It was reminiscent of good pizza I’ve had on the east coast. Definitely respect the hustle of the one-man-show operation.

I love Secret Pizza and get it once a month, and would probably get it more often but you have to order in advance earlier in the week, since it works on a reserve system. It is kind of pricey though, not sure what a pizza like this usually goes for in Jersey

What’s the secret?

As an Italian who lived in NYC for 40 years and worked in a top rated pizzeria, that looks legit AF. However, the milk fat content of the cheese and the taste of the sauce is the true test

You guys. This pizza is IT. I also had it for the first time this weekend and I want to cry it was that good. I dont want to buy any other pie in LA, but it’s a drive for sure. I hope hes able to set up shop closer in the city.

it’s so good it’s crazy, i think there are a ton of great pies in LA but this may be the only one that captures the NY/Jersey/East Coast flavor

I’ve had a half dozen of these pies so far and they are always great. Extra cheese is my go to. Really appreciate the care he puts into his pies. Amazing flavors going on w these pies.

Googlemaps says it’s open for 3 hours a day 3 days a week, is that accurate or can I go for lunch sometime?
