If you like Moo’s you should also try Bludso’s

The most controversial spot on this subreddit. The food is undeniably amazing, it is also expensive for BBQ. I think it is the best bbq in LA. All can be true

Great: Brisket, Burger, Sausage, Korean bbq flavored pork belly
Forgettable: Macaroni and cheese. Kind of bland.
Regrettable: French fries. Not crispy, very salty.

    I haven’t tried their ribs

Over rated and expensive as hell. Three meats and three sides cost me $80, they were out of half the menu and the staff acted bothered that anyone was there.

had some of the best bbq in Austin and Houston and Moo’s is right up there in taste, quality, and price.

yes, Moo’s might be pricey compared to socal bbq but when you compare it with the high end bbq spots in Texas then the price is comparable.

I don’t think it’s overrated at all. that brisket melts in your mouth and you rarely find that jalepeno cheddar sausage outside of texas.

Do people like this better than maple block? I go to maple block for my birthday every year and it’s bomb

I have never experienced a WEIRDER vibe than the inside of that restaurant. I get that BBQ places run out of dishes… very normal stuff. But the way they handled it — it seemed like it was surprising the staff and they didn’t know what to do about it? Just haphazardly yelled out to the line they were out of things? But not frequent enough to actually be helpful as new people came in??? I was truly flabbergasted by the awkwardness/slowness of that staff.

Also if you’re going to have a paper menu where you cross stuff off, for the love of god, write neatly.

I spent the entire meal trying to figure out how you could f*** up a restaurant vibe so badly. Food was adequate but not memorable.
