pictured are: mediterranean rice, brisket pita, chicken kebab, lamb bacon ribs (!), baladi salad, pomegranate glazed pork rib (!). everything was so flavorful and didn’t need sauce but i love sauce, so i got the tahini and yogurt sauces to go along with the mint chimichurri and pomegranate bbq sauce.
got a little less than half the menu and everything was 10/10. gonna go back for the other half sometime soon!

How much did that pan cost you if you don’t mind me asking. Was getting pizza at oddwood today and saw the huge line at one point. Would love to try it but I’d like to know how far my dollar would go.

Let me guess $94.69 and you still left hungry?

That’s the #1 place on my “try next” list. Love to see how the backbone of BBQ can be reinterpreted through different cuisines and damn does it look tempting.

I’m wondering if there is any good bbq like the brisket and ribs, but somewhere else cheaper, and inside, where we don’t have to stand in line. Wife also loves the rice.

This place is a AMAZING. Tops Franklins, La Barbecue, and Terry Blacks in my opinion! The meat to the sides, everything is 🔥🔥🔥
Barbecue with an Egyptian twist 😋

#TrueFacts. everything I’ve had from there menu, was a banger. I fed 8 for about 250-300$, with just a little pink potato salad left over. The lamb ribs were the biggest hit. All the food is great. A little on the pricer side, but worth the flavor and quality of food imo.

Jesus these fucking vultures. That place is run by an incredibly nice and incredibly hardworking immigrant who left his homeland and has put his blood and sweat into learning this stuff and opening a business.
Y’all have no idea what it cost.

I have to go against the grain here. I thought the meats were not that great, especially the lamb. Their sides in the other hand were amazing.

All the people worried about costs missed out on his pop-ups. For about a year or more, he did one-off events that were super reasonable in order to build up to this opening. He put in the time to develop the food and tested it before charging the price he deserves to get. I’m just lucky I saw it and went to a couple of them.
His food deserves the $ and top praise for figuring it all out in grueling temporary setups with long lines in the early days. His food is killer, and he put in the work. You are paying for well-deserved excellence. Good on him, and I hope he has continued success.

I spent $130 bucks there. It’s a one and done experience for me. The YouTube food review guy promoted them so I gave it a shot. The food was decent (desserts were the star) but they gave me fatty ribs even though I was one of the first people there. Save your money if you can BBQ. Thought I would get quality service since the owner was there but nope. They just wanted my money and the façade from being promoted had faded fast. If you live close by then definitely check them out but I wouldn’t travel from another city for it

Ty for sharing! I love Egyptian food and am really excited to try them out. Texas bbq isn’t really my thing, but I loved Smoking Beauty before they closed and look forward to another interesting fusion take

I had a combo rice bowl recently with kofta and brisket along with a side of mac n cheese for $26. It was delicious and I thought the price was fair.
