Paraguayan, but Cafe Nenaí has some pretty good empanadas. They have a beef and egg one that’s kinda similar to the one pictured, though I’m partial to the ham & cheese. Good coffee too

There a vendor at the mueller farmer’s market on Sunday that had something like that I believe.

That shape and really thin crust isn’t common for a Chilean empanada. Are you saying you have had that exact empanada and they told you it was a Chilean empanada de pino?

Yapas empanadas, they have a few food trucks around town – they call it the conquistadora for some reason.

Okay but hear me out. The Saltenas at Papis Pies are hands down the best meat pocket variety food I’ve ever had.

I just did a search in the Chilenos en Austin Facebook group and there are at least two people that are selling empanadas de pino there. Rossana Odar and Juan Vigorena Carrasco.
