Alas, Apple Pan has lost all of its charm. No more ancient cash registers, no more paper cup soda drinks, there’s outdoor seating, and now all the servers are polite. Wtf? At least the burgers taste the same. RIP the Apple Pan I knew and loved.

I think 16.25 for an average looking burger and fries is the more concerning thing here
EDIT: I also want to clarify that I do know popular burger spots will average at this price for a burger and fries, but I think the meat to bun/topping ratio is kinda trash.

I remember reading a Fortune magazine article on how a CEO on the road praising this venue back in the days (2006ish) and never understood the hype. I lived in the area over 20yrs and have visited apple pan 5+times, it only gets worse imo
I’ve been going to apple pan for about 15 years, and agree that it’s not as good as it used to be. Burger is kinda meh now.

It was always an average burger. Good pie though. The experience was why you went. Sad they got rid of the old register.

I agree though, that burger definitely is not worth $16. Even $10 for that burger is asking a bit much. If I had to guess they’re just trying to capitalize off of their name for a few more years and raking as much profit as possible before retiring the place. Then we’ll have another 15 years of a bunch of NIMBYs, trying to keep the place alive.

hahaha this was so true, those cats used to be such dicks it was hilarious. like they were pissed you would dare order a burger from them. also that bank across the street must be pissed they went digital. that bank branch was raking in ATM fees. but damn those burger practically doubled in price since i last went

The tuna sandwich is the best thing on the menu here. If you’re getting the burger, you’re doing it wrong. Next time you’re there, look at what people around you on that horseshoe counter are eating. It’s the tuna sand.
