Chinese food is corner stone of Surinamese cuisine. One of the dishes or snacks you can easily get is a saw paw. I really love them. I went on a quest to find the best one in the country and eventually I found this little spot downtown where they sell Hakka and Chinese-Surinamese food. The Hakka Chinese were the first ever Chinese to arrive in Suriname in 1853 and the third group of all the main 5 ‘imported’ ethnicities in Suriname.

This was honestly the best saw paw I ever had!
