I used to live in Canbagetown. Fucking LOVED the food at the HOP. And great overall vibe/service. They had these samosas that were just unreal. This was in their old location, the walk down.

HOP is cool if not super busy. But why would a chef put a wagyu patty with an onion ring, bacon, cheese, sauces etc seems like a waste of the best kind of beef. Doubt its real wagyu.

Only heard about this place about a month ago when a Redditor replied to my comment recommending the Station Burger at Richmond as best burger in the GTA telling me “wrong not even close, even the Wagyu Burger at House on Parliament is better”, so I said cool I’ll check it out.
The is a pretty damn good burger, like a solid 8/10 but absolutely not better than a Station Burger imo and I doubt that person who replied to me ever had one rather wanted to big up their local favorite spot which I don’t blame them after trying it. It was more lean and not as juicy as I was expecting for a Wagyu burger however the combination with the “boursin cheese”, bacon and caramelized onions was still very tasty and overall pretty good. Always been a fan of skinny crispy style fries, these were like gourmet quality McDonalds fries for me and none were left behind lol
Burger aside we loved the atmosphere and vibe of this place. The service and staff are very welcoming and pleasant. The menu is very appetizing and reasonably priced, my wife’s mushroom toast and caesar salad while simple were excellently made. We will definitely be back as I want to try other stuff on the menu like the Chicken Schnitzel which seem to be a big hit coming out to every table around us. Seems the food here is generally legit and popular with how packed it was in the middle of a snow storm. If anyone has any favorite dishes here they recommend for my next visit I’d love to hear it.

So they serve you a burger made from some of the finest beef available.
Then cover up that amazing beef with everything under the sun.

I’m sure this tasted amazing. However I don’t see the point of wagyu burgers. The whole idea with wagyu is the marbling so what’s the benefit when you grind it up.

I like the house on parliament but this is stupid af.
The fat content of Wagyu is to high and it’s really stupid to take meat that expensive and put it through a grinder.
