Really proud of this place sticking around despite all the change and the pandemic, it’s been a part of me since before I was born, and I’m decently old (GenX).
It was also my dad’s hands down favorite place and he would sneak off to eat breakfast there several times a week, hiding it from my mom (she knew). RIP dad, I’ll have some huevos rancheros and an empanada from Joe’s soon in your honor!

That is a wonderful memory. Thank you for sharing!
What are the specialties worthy of the James Beard award?
Holy shit this is awesome! My family still eats there on Sundays after church. My grandma was a waitress there when she was 14. I always grab a bag of conchas on my way out.
