Totally agree. Sometimes we rent a car just to go up there to get shawarmas to eat in the car.

Does anyone know a place that does beef doner that is actually made by pressing meat pieces together instead of those processed chunks sold at Osmows, Berlin Doner and OMGyro?

Euro Shawarma on Keele is my go to for fats food. For sit down meal I prefer Sofra Istanbul on Steeles by 400.

I know covid is over but I really like it when people who handle food have masks or even gloves on it just makes the place seem more inviting.

Sauga and Warden/Lawrence have a majority of the top shawarma spots in the GTA, and the competition just keeps leading to more and more gems trying to outclass each other. Empire has been one of the best since the day it opened but a lot of quality spots are likely less than a year old.

Shawarma Bros at Eglinton and Markham is really good and good value for shawarma wraps. Not donairs. Want donairs go to Halifax. 🙂
Honestly shawarma empire is unique! It’s fantastic! Everyone should be trying Palestinian style shawarma. The hot sauce they make is very unique gravy style.

In Ottawa people seem to swear Shawarma Palace is the best. But you can find shawarma everywhere here.

Shawarma Frenzy on Pape just north of Mortimer. Generous portions and their toppings are good quality like cabbage vs lettuce.
