Tried this pupusa spot for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the bean and cheese one! I got the chicharron pork one with cheese and bean and cheese. They are 3 dollars each. This parking lot is full of a bunch of food trucks with their own tiny huts and seating areas. Its a really neat spot. They speak little English but it was not hard to order. The salsa and slaw they give went perfectly with these pupusas. I liked both but the bean and cheese were to die for imo. I’m not an expert on pupusas but my friend who recommend them think they’re the best he’s had. Anyways, friendly people and good food! They take credit card too.

When the salsa is in a plastic bag, you know the place has potential.

Thanks for sharing. I love traditional lorocos con queso, so I’ll put this on the list to try out soon!

This makes me miss the curtido from 503 y Mas. Will have to try this place!

Good salsa de tomate and curtido, nice oozy well-seared pupusas with the escaped fillings nicely crisped up (my favorite part), and very friendly service. They have calabacita con queso as a pupusa filling, which I like and which I don’t see everywhere. I also like the bean and cheese and loroco with cheese I tried. I’ve been there at off times (like not at peak lunch hours) and the whole lot is a ghost town but they’re still getting business from the local Salvadoran community the whole time. I’ve had the fried fish and tamal de elote with crema, too. Both pretty good. The tamal de elote is served fried but you can ask for it not fried, something I heard other customers do after I already got a fried one, so I’ll probably try that next time. We’ve actually got a lot of good Salvadoran around, but Antojitos Salvadoreños definitely stands out.
