I know I just posted last night. But I wanted to share a friendly PSA about Ramen Del Barrio. I first had his ramen months ago while he was known as ramen garage. He’s since had a lot of success and opened this spot in Hana world. The bowls will be limited and he may have a line and sell out. If you get a chance I like the tomatillo mazesoba and carnitas tonkotsu. The karagge and lengua yaki tacos are a must too. The above is a menu from the soft opening but the prices or menu may have changed.

  2. I remember seeing you post about ramen garage but didn’t realize it was the same guy, awesome

Just had this for lunch and wasn’t impressed.
    – Carnitas Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen: The carnitas and noodles were a bit overcooked and the flavor was OK
    – Ordered 1 Lengua taco and 1 Pork Belly taco – Pork belly wasn’t cooked crispy and the lengua was chewy.
    – Portion size for everything was smaller than average; typically I get full off 1 bowl of ramen but their ramen and tacos are very small and I had no problem finishing everything. Also, they really need to give you two tortillas for each taco, 1 to scoop up all the fillings that fall out.
I’ll probably go again in a month or so and try the rest of the menu but this didn’t leave a good impression.

Wanted to update that I went to go retry today. And the portion seemed to have gotten alittle larger than the last time. I got the tomatillo mazesoba and the noodles were thick and it was a good size for 13 bucks. The carnitas shoyu was a hit with my dad. I went at 1 pm on a Wednesday so maybe it was just less busy and easier to get things right. Also the karagge is tasty. Anyways that my update.
