These are the best western noodles on the planet… but I am looking for an alternative I can buy here if anyone can help.

  1. To keep things relatively short, I grew up eating these or homemade noodles depending on the weather. My family is from the midwest, hence the Illinois noodles, and as far as I have been able to find that is the only location where these noodles specifically can be bought. The problem with this is that my being in Texas makes it a major pain in the ass ordering these noodles to be sent here so I am looking for an alternative that may be made locally. I HAVE tried a few varieties, like HEB’s various brands of spaetzle, but it isn’t quite the same thing though it is close. I do have the family recipe for homemade noodles but my many attempts have led me to believe that our weather here is too dry to match what we could get in Illinois when making in bulk. Or I’m just bad at it. Either way, looking for an alternative.

Ingredients for these are simply flour, eggs, water, salt, and wheat farina.

  2. Have your tried Mrs. Miller’s Old Fashioned Egg Noodles? I think they are from Ohio. I buy them at the Lakeline H-E-B.
