The scaled down menu at Chuy’s just isn’t cutting it, especially when Hula Hut still offers the Chile Relleno and a variation of the Stuffed Avocado as an appetizer. Who else feels like they’ve been Punk’d? Can we have back the full menu?

And that’s just a few I remember …
And that’s just to name a few.
I miss the old Chuy’s. I’ll never forget we picked up an order during Covid. I was surprised to not see a giant cake box for my taco salad. It was then I learned that the taco salad came with TORTILLA STRIPS WTF.
As an ex-employee who used to love them, it will take a lot for me to go back.
Someone posted that they’re not going to go back to the old menu. It’s not cost effective for them.
It’s been a slow, but steady decline into Tex-Mex mediocrity, I moved to Austin 97, went to our first Chuy’s in the Arboretum area, it was fantastic, the Chile Rellenos with cheese were my favorite, the table salsa was perfection, chips great and one could get refills on chips and salsa for free. It was great for years – I move away, come back and everything that made Chuy’s great and Austin was gone, it’s only gotten worse. Highly recommend Eldorado now.
I’ll never get over the loss of the Elvis fried chicken. So sad
Chuy’s has been hot garbage since before Covid. So many better options in this town!
White folk always taking me to Chuy’s, they love the chicka boom boom and that green shit but I don’t order it on principle alone. That tangy salsa good af though.
Hula Hut still has all of my favorites, I just wish it wasn’t so far!
