EDIT: Mi Trailita y Mas on Manor, hands-down. Idk who makes the chips, but I haven’t tasted (thin) chips like these before. The ranchero salsa is 🔥🔥🔥
I don’t eat a ton of chips these days, but I remember loving the chips at Chuy’s. Their salsa isn’t my favorite, but it gets the job done.
As for salsas, my personal faves are everything at La Fruta Feliz.

I think Veracruz has an awesome salsa. Made fresh every day, it has tiny pieces of avocado mixed in with the tomato’s.

If you like hot the hot salsa at Masa y Mas is one of the best i’ve ever tasted.

I love the salsas at Zuzu’s. During covid that was our comfort food (to get take out) with el Milagro chips
emt92
I personally love Chuys chips and salsa fresca, Enchiladas Y Mas chips aren’t amazing but the salsa is hot as hell, Gloria’s chips and salsa is pretty good but the black bean dip is heavenly. Don’t shame me but Chili’s chips and salsa has it’s time and place too (and the to go bag of chips is microwaveable)
stevendaedelus
I love the orange Salsa at Licha’s and the black salsa at El Chile.

I really love tacodeli’s roja salsa, but their chips are a crime against humanity. El Tacorrido’s chips are A+ but I’m not a huge fan of any of their salsas.

IMO the best chips in town can be bought from Fiesta Tortilla Factory (not to be confused with the grocery store Fiesta) they supply to several tex mex restaurants in town.

The heat variance is wild there but so long as it’s not too hot I love the salsa at Enchiladas y Mas

I think we should describe the salsa at each place bc I like: 1)not largely chunky 2)not 100%liquidy 3) not spicy.
So… Ppl do me a flavor and ahare

Gloria’s gives you both salsa AND bean dip for free when you go dine there. I’d recommend it

I love the complimentary salsa and chips at Casa Garcia! I went for breakfast with a friend and they still gave us free chips and salsa in the morning! 🤤🤤

El Chile habanero salsa. <3

I’ve always been partial to Maudie’s salsa, a good basic garlicy red salsa that’s not overly hot. I sometimes will get a big batch to go to eat at home.
RoastedAt400
I like the salsa and chips from Jack Allen’s. Its smoky, it’s savory and it’s spicy.

Have you tried Jardin Corona’s picosa salsa? You have to ask for it. We often get a pint of picosa salsa from them with weekend breakfast tacos to have for the rest of the week.

My favorite is Eldorado’s avocado salsa mixed with their el scorpio salsa. So good!!

The best chips in town are the homemade corn tortilla chips at Matt’s El Rancho.
Salsa is a thought one to decide.

I fully anticipate downvotes, my favorite chips and salsa in town is Pappasitos.

Maudie’s food is so basic but I really like their salsa. Same with chuys (although it’s been like 10 years since I went there).
habanero and azul tequila have good ones as well.

Maybe I’m old school, but I love the chips and salsa from hula hut and chuys. I miss screaming goats/chucos tacos/10th street tacos roasted green salsa.
