God, I remember when Chifa used to be a pet shop. Old school Eagle Rock memories, I suppose…

But yeah, Chifa is great. Been there twice and it’s been delicious both times.

For those that don’t know, Chifa is a Chinese Peruvian cuisine that originated in the Chinatown district of Lima, Peru from an influx of Chinese immigrants that came in during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Peruvian food is uniquely international and has heavy Japanese and Italian influences as well.

I lived there for a year and hands down Lima is the best food I’ve had anywhere in the the world and was by far the cheapest to boot!!

That’s the best looking lomo saltado I’ve ever seen.

$19 for a dish of wok fried vegetable is expensive. It is not even pea sprouts. 😂

Ate here once it was good but no rice. Minus points

$39 for that amount of lomo saltado is pretty wild.

Underwhelmed, not a great value being so close to SGV. Cute place though.
