I live 11 minutes away, never been. Now I gotta go.

  2. Once you’re done dipping tacos, do you eat the rest of the soup?

This is a near $90 meal with tax/tip.

The food’s good, just too pricey.

14 minutes away. Thanks for the tip! What would you recommend to order?

Like everyone says, it is pricey. BUT, if I wanted birria tacos, i wouldn’t go anywhere else.

  6. Funny, when I drive by this place and I keep saying I have to try it. Just got my foodie vibes on it. On my list.

Love this place. My husband usually just get pizza from dominos in the same plaza. One day I dragged him here because I hate dominos.

This place has awakened his taste buds. It is a little pricy, but worth the quality and love put into the food.

Before tax and tip, it’s $25.20 for an order of five which includes the broth and toppings (the onion, cilantro, lime and salsas), and $15.30 for the chips and guac. Their guacamole is authentic and very good, but guacamole is so easy to make at home that I can’t justify the $15 for it. The birria tacos are 100% worth it though, and I would live off that broth if I could.

For their other tacos, I’ve had the Gobernador and while it was good, I wouldn’t order it again. If I’m having shrimp tacos, I don’t want the cheese to the be the dominant flavour. I get they’re probably super authentic, but I found them unimpressive compared to their other tacos.

I’ve had their Campechanos, Carnitas and Chorizo and all were great, but after trying and liking all of them, I always order the Birria. The only better birria tacos I’ve had were in Los Angeles.

One of the best birria tacos I’ve had outside of Mexico!

So based on the comments, Fonda Balam which has a similar menu but is a Matty Matheson property may actually be cheaper?
